up-and-coming designer maki has been creating a fair amount of buzz in the industry and around the web since her debut fall/winter 2010 collection titled "everything in proportion" premiered. known for her textured graphic pieces, african influenced clothing and clever silhouettes, she is the designer to watch for during the next upcoming seasons. she has carefully fused traditional african garb with couture and has created a masterpiece of a love child. to add a cherry on the cake, her designs are created ethically in her label's home base nigeria.
